Reporting
Q15: How does your software package handle the lien process? : We track the entire lien process from the vehicle being towed to impound all the way through to the vehicle sale or release. This process is configured to how the tow company wants to receive reminders and notifications to take a vehicle through the process. We produce custom PDF documents for clients like notifications/letters to vehicle owners, state required documents, and auction packets. You can attach paperwork to the tow record to store it digitally forever. We now also offer an integration with AutoDataDirect to help companies using their service for the same process.
Q16: What reports does your software offer and can they be tailored to individual company needs (e.g. customization of invoices, etc.) : First, we offer a custom reporting aspect where you can adjust or create reports specific to your company that will be used to run the business. In doing so we have developed many standard report templates like daily totals reports (for total calls, tows, billings, money collected) and each report can be viewed with different groupings (e.g. revenue by driver, revenue by truck, revenue by tow yard, revenue by customer, revenue by police department). We have not yet run into a report that Omadi could not recreate.

Q27: What feature(s) set your software apart from competitors' software?: Most the towing-specific software on the market perform the same tasks. Our strength is our ability to adapt the customers "unique" needs. As a local database solution, we can make report and software changes specific to the needs of individaul customers, without effecting other users of the same software in a cloud-based solution. We believe that cloud-based software is a great tool for communications & tracking, but we are firm believers that business critical data belongs inhouse.

Administrative/Office differences: Omadi is cloud based and can be used from any web browser as well as the app on the Google and Apple stores. Dented Development is not cloud based, so it needs to be installed on a computer. Dented says you could run it in the cloud if you choose. Omadi back-ups to the cloud automatically and with Dented Development you configure the backup of the software daily. With Dented Development, it depends on what type of contract you are on when it comes to paying for updates or not.
