“Lady Luck” From Pinx Wrecker was voted as our truck of the month for August 2016.
The Phillips family, Gary, Dana and children have over 30+ years of towing experience and officially opened Pinx Wrecker in January of 2016. They are a family owned and operated business, serving San Antonio, Tx and surrounding areas. They offer 24 hr. heavy duty towing and recovery, medium duty, light duty and roadside services.
In 2012 they rescued a 1984 F350 6.9 L diesel with a Century Metro bed. It needed a lot of work, and that’s how she got the name ‘Lady Luck’! The family paid as they went as in order to avoid debt and worked for about 3 years on it, a lot of blood, sweat, tears and a beautiful paint job.
They chose the colors pink and white not just because it’s pretty, but also for the female Tow Truck Operators in their little family, their two daughters Paula and Leanne and their mom Dana. The breast cancer ribbon is in honor of Dana’s grandmother and they are huge supporters of the fight against breast cancer.
The day that she was all finished, they put her name on the hood “Lady Luck” it was a very emotional day for the whole family! “Lady Luck is our Princess with pink lights along the bed,” said Dana Phillips.
In March 2016 they got a 2000 T800 Kenworth with a 2015 5130 bed refurbished by Miller. They also just recently rescued a medium duty that they are now working on. You can learn more about Pinx Wrecker and the Phillips family at www.pinxwrecker.net on facebook and on twitter.com/PinxWrecker
